Will I Finish?

Thanksgiving weekend gave me the rare gift of one day with nothing scheduled. "Black Friday" was blue skied and cool, so Abigail, my 14-year-old daughter, and I got everything set up to work on the inner wall and last section of the deck railing. We cut the weathered 1x6 fence boards to lap over each other on two outside walls. Because these are old and can split easily, we predrilled where the screws went—another task made so much easier with two drills! We put siding up to about three feet so I could attach the deck railing to the siding as I did on the other side.
